So we keep on prayer for you, asking our God to enable you
to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. 2 Thessalonians 1:11
That feeling you've had this week since our time together at Worthy, do you know what it's called? Sister Courage.
I've experienced it so many times in my life as I've connected with my biological or spiritual sisters. Suddenly, with them and the Spirit of God in me, I feel bold, strong, unstoppable.
I've seen the world, birthed babies, spoken to crowds, started a non-profit, spoken words of life in the face of death, forgiven, and said goodbye, because of the God-fearing voice of sisters. I imagine this is just the kind of courage those daughters of Zelophehad, or the daughters at the tomb of Jesus, or Ruth and Noami experienced as they changed the world. What we will do together for our region with our "sister courage?" It remains to be seen, but we are off to a beautiful start.
Do you remember that part on Elf when Will Ferrel's character is running around the revolving door screaming? That is how our team has felt all week--just plain giddy! I have tried over and over to wrap all of the joy, all the testimonies, all the experience into one email but it just doesn't come close. I wonder if this is what the Apostle John felt like, which is why he ends his Gospel with, "Jesus also did many other things. If they were wall written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written." (John 21:25)
Do you feel like he wrote an entire novel of his goodness with you this weekend? We do too! In fact, the team spent Sunday night celebrating and sharing testimonies about the conference. We were simply in awe of God. We were so filled with laughter and tears, our server came over and asked what we were so excited about. So we shared how God met all of us uniquely this weekend. Once again, the testimonies of His love and might spilled over into our community. This is one small way unity changes a region. It's how we overcome!
Our testimonies solidify what the Lord has done. When we tell someone else, they bear witness to a moment that is holy and spiritually significant. This is encourages our faith and empowers our next steps. Do you have a testimony about this weekend? We would love to hear it! Please submit it here.
In case you're wondering, our videographer is hard at work, editing those breakouts and main session teachings. As soon as we have those uploaded, we will send them to you so you can take more notes and glean more understanding and wisdom from our speakers.
And, if you're interested, please join us for A Million Women: An Esther Call on the Mall on October 12th. Let us know if you plan to attend so we can meet up in DC.
We love you so very much and thank you for changing our lives this weekend with your love, reverence, and worship for the Lord. May we never be the same. With Joy! Erin and the Worthy Team!
