Who We Are

We believe God created both male and female in His image.  We believe from the beginning both male and female were created for intimacy with God and entrusted with shared stewardship in His Kingdom purposes.  We believe the fall of mankind brought sin, separation, and the distortion of God’s original design.  We believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who willingly gave Himself as the sacrifice to restore what sin had broken.  We believe in the sinless life of Jesus Christ, His suffering, His death on the cross, and His atoning sacrifice for sin.  We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension, and present reign at the Father’s right hand.   We believe salvation is found only through repentance, faith, confession, and the forgiveness of sins through the name and lordship of Jesus Christ.  We believe that through faith in Christ, expressed in repentance and baptism, believers are brought into covenant identity as sons and daughters of God and made heirs of His promises.  We believe Jesus commissioned His Church to preach the Gospel and participate in the ministry of reconciliation.  We believe the Holy Spirit is the promised gift to all believers and that His gifts and power remain available to the Church today.  We believe that at Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out on all flesh—both male and female.  We believe in one triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal in deity, distinct in person, and perfectly united in nature, will, and purpose.  We believe the unity of the Godhead is reflected in Christ’s prayer for the unity of His Church and calls the body of Christ into mutual honor, humility, and oneness.  We believe Christ gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry.  We believe every believer has a calling in Christ and is called to live worthy of that calling.  We believe women, as daughters of God, are called to faithfully steward the spheres of life to which He assigns them—including marriage, motherhood, marketplace and ministry.  We believe Worthy is called to awaken, exhort, and equip women to live worthy of their calling in Christ.  Scriptural Basis for Belief Statements  ● Genesis 1:26–28 – Image of God + shared dominion  ● Genesis 3 – The fall  ● John 3:16–17 – God sent the Son  ● Romans 10:9–10 – Salvation through confession and faith  ● Galatians 3:26–29 – Sons/daughters, one in Christ, heirs  ● Acts 2:17–18 – Spirit poured out on sons and daughters  ● 2 Corinthians 5:18–20 – Ministry of reconciliation  ● Ephesians 4:1, 11–13 – Walk worthy + 5-fold equipping  ● John 17:20–23 – Unity  ● Titus 2:3–5 –The discipling of women

Worthy is a parachurch ministry, not a church. We do not exist to replace, compete with, or function independently from the local church. We are not a congregation, do not perform the primary governmental role of a church, and do not establish ourselves as an ecclesiastical covering over believers.  We believe that Jesus Christ established the local church and it remains central to the discipleship, shepherding, accountability and spiritual formation of believers.  Accordingly, Worthy does not plant churches, nor do we seek to build a spiritual institution apart from the local church. Rather, we exist to serve, strengthen, equip, and support women within the context of the Body of Christ, encouraging them to remain rooted in and submitted to biblically sound local church leadership.  In any event where pursuit of a woman’s kingdom calling does not align with the doctrinal beliefs of her local church, Worthy will lead her back to the care and covering of her local leaders in submission and humility for support, and further direction, understanding that the local church is the governing body.  We believe our ministry is healthiest and most fruitful when it functions in honor, humility, accountability, and submission to local church leadership and the broader Body of Christ.  Scriptural Basis:  ● Matthew 16:18 – Jesus builds His Church.  ● Acts 2:42–47 – The early church as the covenant community of believers.  ● Hebrews 10:24–25 – Do not neglect gathering together.  ● Ephesians 4:11–16 – The body grows as each part works properly.  ● Hebrews 13:17 – Honor and respond rightly to spiritual leadership.  ● 1 Corinthians 12:12–27 – One body, many members.

Worthy is not a feminist organization as defined by worldly ideology, nor do we exist to promote any form of rebellion, independence from God’s order, or the domination of men by women.  We reject any posture that seeks to usurp, diminish, dishonor, or compete against godly male leadership. We do not believe the advancement of women in the Kingdom requires the rejection of men or the pursuit of power through rivalry.  Rather, we believe that God created both male and female in His image, and that from the beginning He called both to walk with Him, steward His purposes, and participate together in His Kingdom work. We believe women are called to arise in their God-given identity, authority, and assignment—not in opposition to men, but in holy partnership with our brothers under the lordship of Jesus Christ.  Worthy exists to call women into their rightful place as daughters of God: secure in identity, mature in character, equipped in truth, and activated in calling.
