Getting to Know Sarah Ronne, Worthy's Treasurer

I'm excited to share what's on Sarah Ronne's heart with our readers. With the Worthy conference coming this weekend, I hope you get to see and meet Sarah in person. Her heart is so pure, and her love for Jesus so evident in how she talks about Him. I love that she serves as Treasurer for Worthy. Her giftings are such a gift to Worthy!

What is your name and where do you serve on the Worthy team?

My name is Sarah Ronne, and I serve as the Treasurer on the Worthy Executive team.

What do you do in that role and what is your favorite part of it?

I work to facilitate the proper recording of Worthy’s financial activity. My favorite part is stewarding our monetary progress so that it lines up with our vision and goals. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matt 6:21)

What is your home church?

My home church is Fellowship Church at the Fish Hawk Campus.

To you, what is the most mind-blowing part of the Gospel?

God speaks. God spoke light into existence and all matter into existence. God is holy and just and yet full of love and grace for mankind. God spoke to mankind as a way to live and worship. God spoke about what would happen before it happened and to know what to look for as the time drew near. When God speaks, it happens. God spoke collectively to His chosen people. God spoke individually to His child. Jesus spoke that He would return and said there would be signs to look for when that time was approaching. God still speaks to our hearts individually to draw us to Himself in relationship.

Who is your favorite woman in the Bible and why?

My favorite woman of the Bible is Martha partly because she is wholly misunderstood. For sure she had her flaws and John chapter 11 offers more insight into that; but she was a realist and showed to be a strong woman of faith in Jesus Christ when her brother died.

What is your favorite spiritual discipline and how do you practice it?

I don’t really have a favorite discipline. I want to do them all well, or at least hope, lol. The one I do best is prayer and studying Scripture. I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me before reading the Bible

What is one way that you typically hear from the Lord?

I hear from the Lord best when I am quiet in prayer.

What has "Living Worthy" looked like to you since last summer's Worthy

conference?

I want my life to look like that of being good and faithful. I want the one thing He has asked me to do and to do it well for the season of life that I’m in while not being distracted by the busy work.
