Never, Never, Never Give UP.

It was with my second kid, that I looked up and saw the sign that read:

Never, Never, Never Give up.

I was deep in labor and she was ready to make her entrance. It was such an intense moment, I thought I might die. Nevertheless, out she came–and in a way so did I–as someone new.

We had both arrived somewhere new too. And we were both better for it. Neither one of us could stay in the condition we were in. I needed to give birth, and she needed to be birthed.

I had labored for her, and my labor was not in vain. There was a reward on the other side of it all that brought relief, joy, purpose, and a life I couldn’t know until she arrived.

Same goes for you.

There is a purpose for you on this earth that could not be realized until you arrived. God has held a spot for you, and has waited for you to get to this moment of birthing. This is why it says, all creation is groaning as in the pains of childbirth. It is waiting for the moment when heaven comes to earth and brings the restoration of the Kingdom of Heaven (Romans 8:19-22)

I’ve found we labor in two ways as people of God:

Sometimes, you’re so connected to the Holy Spirit that you’re positioned as the birth canal of heaven.

Is that too vivid?

Sorry/Not Sorry y’all, because we need to understand our position here, between heaven and earth, and what it means for the advancement of God’s kingdom.

Jesus wants to get heaven to you and through you so it can be released for the earth.

Do you see that? You’re the way through for someone else. You’re an avenue for God’s Glory.

Sometimes it’s that easy–just be open and let heaven be released.

Birth Canal.

Other times, you’re co-laboring with Christ in order to see something from heaven birthed.

And yes, birthing things is hard.

Yes, you want to give up.

But what you have received from Jesus is too essential to stop now.

You’re an answer to the prayer: Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I know that’s true because here you are!

You’re his will on earth.

His work in you is his kingdom manifested.

Therefore, you’ve been endowed with all that’s necessary to birth the things of heaven. You were made for this!

You weren’t just created to be birthed, but to create and birth.

Be fruitful. Multiply the heavenly things.

Go ahead and bring to the earth what you’ve conceived in the secret place with the Lord–that healing, that project, that unity, that work, that ministry, that relationship, that Truth, that moment. When you do then all the pent up joy, newness, life, relief and freedom can be released. And in the midst of it you’ll find that you’re being made new. You will be somewhere new too.

It’s all because of Him. And it’s all meant for you, and all meant for someone else too.

All the while, Jesus, our Co-laborer, is right there with you, rooting you on and reminding you to

Never, Never, Never Give up.

Rejoice Beloved Daughters! His kingdom comes.

I missed it.

I gave up sugar back in August.  If it wasn’t found in fruit, I pulled it from my diet. Y’all, I even took it out of my coffee–that one took some adjusting. Around Christmas time and my birthday, I al

Miss you already.

I was 16 the first time I left the foreign mission field. I cried like a baby. Every time since, I have been a blubbering fool for the people, no matter where I am. God has wired me in this way, like
