This week, I'm thrilled to introduce our readers to Paula Chewning! With the Worthy Conference coming up THIS WEEKEND, I do hope you will stop by the Worthy Boutique and say "hi" to her!
I hope you all have the best time this weekend. I am praying for all of you to be refreshed in the Lord. That He would reveal more of Himself to you and that you would KNOW more than ever before just how loved, cherished, and adored you are by your Father. It's going to be beautiful!
What is your name and where do you serve on the Worthy team?
Hey! I’m Paula Chewning. This year, I’m part of the Worthy Boutique team.
What do you do in that role and what is your favorite part of it?
I get to work alongside an amazing group of women to bring the boutique to life—from dreaming up the look and feel to sourcing pieces, setting up, and hosting during conference days.
My favorite part is finding things that will remind women throughout the year that they are Worthy!
What is your home church?
My husband and I lead City of God Church in the Wesley Chapel/New Tampa area.
To you, what is the most mind-blowing part of the Gospel?
The most mind-blowing part to me is that salvation is just the beginning of the many layers of grace and freedom the Gospel actually brings to our lives.
Who is your favorite woman in the Bible and why?
Esther is my favorite. Her honesty about the real fear she was facing and her willingness to do what she was born to do always inspires me!
What is your favorite spiritual discipline and how do you practice it?
I love to get up early while my house is still quiet, grab a cup of coffee, my Bible, and journal, and spend time alone with Jesus. Starting my day this way helps me be nice! Ha!
What is one way that you typically hear from the Lord?
I’m a feeler—so I experience Jesus in all the feeler-y ways.
What has “Living Worthy” looked like to you since last summer’s Worthy conference?
Over the last year, Living Worthy has looked like growing in my awareness of how God sees me and growing in my agreement with who He says I am.
Finish this sentence: “These days, I couldn’t live without: ___________!”
Coffee (besides Jesus)!
