How to Become a Listener of The Live Worthy Podcast

Updated: Aug 22

If you see me running around on any given day, you will likely see me with my Aftershokz headphones around my neck or over my ears, because I use them so much that I forget they are even there. I love to listen to podcasts while I am doing mundane tasks like laundry, dishes, or my skincare routine. I love hearing other people’s stories and how they use their gifts for the Kingdom.

I have been on the podcast bandwagon since around 2013, listening to about 6-10 shows per week, so you could probably call me a Christian podcast connoisseur. Take it from this expert when I tell you that you MUST check out The Live Worthy podcast. The conversations are so rich and Spirit-filled. Imagine getting a little taste of the Worthy conference every time a new episode drops! You can bring Worthy into the shower with you, or car line, or while you nurse your baby in the middle of the night. The Lord is speaking through these women, and I don’t want to miss a word of it!

The Live Worthy Podcast released its first episode in May of this year, with a new episode coming out nearly every week. You now have access to conversations about women who made history by living worthy, Erin's testimony, and the story behind how Worthy began, some great discussions on the 5-fold giftings, interviews with some of the speakers from the Worthy conference, and more! Now is the perfect time to catch up if you haven't yet checked it out.

The Live Worthy Podcast can be found on the Worthy website, on Apple Podcasts, or on Spotify, so make sure you are subscribed. But what if you aren’t a podcast person like me? Maybe you are late to the podcast party, so you don’t know the first thing about finding podcasts. I am here to help!

There are two ways that you can access podcasts:

1.     The Worthy Website – This is a great option if you do not plan to listen to any other podcast or do not want to add an app to your phone. You can find all of the Worthy podcast episodes here. The main downside of listening from the website is that it doesn't keep track of which episodes you've already listened to, so it could be frustrating if you lose track of what you have already heard.

2.     Phone Apps – Personally, I use the Overcast app  (not available on Android). Overcast was developed based on Apple podcasts  (which is another app option for podcast listening), but it’s easier to use and better for organizing your podcasts. Spotify is another good app option, especially if you already use Spotify for music or if you are an Android user.

Are you ready to become a podcast listener? I am about to teach you how!

Step 1. Decide how you’d like to access the Worthy podcast. If you don’t want to use an app, simply go here, tap on the episode you want to hear, and press the play button. The rest of the steps are for our app users.

Step 2. If you want to use an app like Overcast, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify, the first step is to go to your device's app store, download the app, and open it! If you are opening the app for the first time, you may be required to create an account and log in.

Step 3. Each podcast app will have a search tool that looks like a magnifying glass. In Overcast, that search icon is in the top right corner. In Apple and Spotify, you can find it on the bottom row. Tap that Search icon and type ‘The Live Worthy Podcast.’ You should see something like this:

Or this:

Step 4. Tap on The Live Worthy Podcast. You should now see all of the episodes available to you on the app!

Step 5. Before you listen to an episode, tap on Follow or Subscribe. When you follow/subscribe to a podcast, the new episodes automatically get downloaded and show up on your app.

Step 6. Now that you are following The Live Worthy Podcast, the most recent episode should download to your app, but if you are like me, you’ll want to download all previous episodes so that you can get caught up. In Overcast, you can tap on each episode, then tap the plus sign to add it to your feed. In Spotify, you don’t have to tap each episode to see the plus sign. Just scroll through and tap the plus sign for each episode that you want to add to your feed.

Step 7. Pick an episode that you want to listen to, tap it, press the Play button, and enjoy!

I have just changed your life. You're welcome. But seriously, our prayer is that you would be blessed, equipped, and empowered and more in love with your Creator as you listen to The Live Worthy Podcast.
