Exploring Gratitude and More with Debbie Price, Worthy VP and Director of Legacy Family

ree

This is the one and only Debbie Price! I had so much fun reading her answers to the questions that I asked of the Worthy Executive Team. I have heard so many wonderful things about Debbie, and even without knowing her personally, her love of the Gospel and desire to walk with the Spirit are so evident. I will now be on a mission to make her my friend when I see her next! I hope you are as inspired as I am by Debbie as you read what she has to say about Jesus.

What is your name and where do you serve on the Worthy team?

Debbie Price Vice President / Director of Legacy Family

What do you do in that role and what is your favorite part of it?

My primary role is to come alongside our team in prayerful vision-casting where we believe God is leading the women of this region. I also have the privilege of leading Legacy Family, where I invite individuals and businesses to partner with us through generous giving. These partnerships are vital to seeing women across the region empowered to live out their unique callings with purpose and impact.

What is your home church?

I attend Appointed Church.

To you, what is the most mind-blowing part of the Gospel?

The most mind-blowing part of the gospel is this: the God of the entire universe chose to become human. And more than that—He chose to die. He laid down His life so that I could be reconciled with Him forever. What other god has ever made such a claim? None that I know of. No other god comes to love like this. No other god becomes like us to save us. Only Jesus.

Who is your favorite woman in the Bible and why?

If I had to choose a favorite woman in the Bible, it would be Deborah. First, for a simple reason—we share the same name. That alone sparked my curiosity to learn more about her. And while Scripture doesn’t give us an abundance of detail about Deborah, what is shared is absolutely remarkable!

Deborah was chosen by God to be a judge over Israel during a time when women were often seen as little more than property—discarded, overlooked, or silenced. Deborah inspires me because she reminds me that God equips and appoints women to lead boldly, speak truth, and walk in divine authority—even in times and cultures that say otherwise.

What is your favorite spiritual discipline and how do you practice it?

Of all the spiritual disciplines, my favorite by far is practicing gratitude. Many years ago, I read a book that challenged readers to keep a gratitude journal—writing down things, big or small, each day that you were thankful for. I took the challenge, and it truly altered the way I think. Since then, this simple yet powerful practice has become a part of my everyday life. Over the years, I’ve filled many gratitude journals. And on days when I feel off balance—when things seem too heavy or too hard—I’ll pull one out and start flipping through the pages. As I read those entries, I’m reminded of just how faithful and generous my Father is. Gratitude helps me shift my focus, anchor my heart, and return to joy. It reminds me that even in the ordinary, God is constantly pouring out His goodness.

What is one way that you typically hear from the Lord?

I hear the Lord most clearly when I’m sitting at my desk in my office, looking out into my backyard. From this quiet space, I can watch the sun rise. In these simple, sacred moments, the Lord meets me. He speaks to the depths of my heart and soul through His creation.

There’s something about the stillness, the rhythm of the natural world, that opens my ears to hear Him more clearly. It’s as if the beauty outside my window becomes a personal invitation to draw close—to be reminded that He is near, always speaking, always revealing Himself through what He has made.

What has "Living Worthy" looked like to you since last summer's Worthy

conference?

The Lord has given me holy courage to walk in my calling. I’ve stepped into places and done things I never thought I was capable of doing. He has given me influence and favor in spaces I never imagined I’d have a voice.

As I continue to walk with greater confidence and purpose, He keeps stretching me—growing me, leading me, and calling me deeper. And even at this stage in life, He’s reminding me: I’m still needed.

Finish this sentence: "These days, I couldn't live without: ___________! (besides Jesus)"

These days I couldn’t live without my girlfriends, we call ourselves the HERd. And chocolate. Snicker bars to be exact.
