Digging Deeper With Courtney, Worthy's Operations Director

Hello! I'm Niki Hathorn (that's not me in the picture), and I currently have the pleasure of coordinating the Worthy Blog content. I thought it would be fun to introduce our readers to the Worthy Executive Team—not through casual small talk about favorite coffee orders, but on a deeper level. My aim is for us all to gain insight into their true hearts and identities in Christ. I want us to recognize and connect with them when we see their faces in our communities, churches, and whether they’re on stage or working behind the scenes at Worthy.

This week, I interviewed Courtney Lambert, Worthy's Operations Director.

What do you do in that role and what is your favorite part of it?

As Operations Director, I get to oversee the behind-the-scenes details that help bring the vision of Worthy to life—event logistics, team coordination, communication systems, and more. My favorite part is creating space for women to encounter Jesus in a meaningful and organized way. It’s powerful to watch the unseen work become a platform for transformation.

What is your home church?

Overflow Church in Valrico, FL.

To you, what is the most mind-blowing part of the Gospel?

That He chooses us every. single. day—the good, the bad, and the ugly. His love never wavers.

Who is your favorite woman in the Bible and why?

Mother Mary. Her obedience and sheer faith are astounding. All she knew and witnessed, and yet her faith never wavered—from God or her son.

What is your favorite spiritual discipline and how do you practice it?

Stillness. In a very full life, I’ve learned that intentionally sitting in silence before the Lord—even if it’s just a few minutes—grounds me in His presence and helps me operate from a place of peace rather than pressure.

What is one way that you typically hear from the Lord?

Through worship—whether in the car with my family, corporately with my church or the Worthy team, or even alone. He’s always downloading to me through music.

What has "Living Worthy" looked like to you since last summer's Worthy conference?

Living obediently and with boundaries. The Lord has asked me to walk away from several things I’ve held so dear over the last few years. And in that surrender, I’ve been able to step aside and watch the Lord’s glory rise through those who have stepped into those spaces.

Finish this sentence: "These days, I couldn't live without: ___________! (besides Jesus)"

A good planner, a filled water jug, and my perfectly chaotic family!
